Chapter History

The Sacramento Chapter of Founding Forward started in 2009 when a local resident, Pam Fronk, attended an awards dinner for another state’s chapter and saw something she wanted for the Sacramento area.

A Chapter is Born

Inviting other like-minded residents, they formed a board of directors and the Sacramento Chapter was born. That first year 9 students were sent to the Spirit of America program. Since the beginning, the Sacramento Chapter has sought to expand its reach and influence, sending 60-90 students annually from various local high schools to the Spirit of America program.

Also, events have been created on a local level to inspire and increase Constitutional scholarships, such as our Constitution Bowl and our Mock Article V Convention. Dozens of awards have been given as community members are recognized annually for their service and contributions.

Expanding our Reach

We also welcome student directors from various high schools on our board who help plan and carry out events and start service clubs at their schools. The Sacramento Chapter has a wonderful history and a bright future as we continue to gain momentum and move forward to educate and inspire a love for our freedoms and our country.
